How does it work?

One type of thread lifting is where the threads can be put into the skin to create a mesh-like pattern to help the skin build new collagen around it. The other type is where threads with small cones, will be inserted individually and used to grip and tighten the skin as needed.

This will prolong its youthful radiance in in younger skins, but will not produce a lift in the conventional sense no matter what age the patient is. What to expect?

Thread lift being a non-invasive procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia. Light sedation sometimes will be given on request.

The procedure involves making small needle stabs in the locations, mostly in the hairline, and inserting the threads under the skin to anchor the ends to lift the skin. There are several variations of the technique to meet individual patient needs. Usually between 2 and 20 threads will be used after accessing the individual situations.

There will be some discomfort, swelling or bruising around the area after the procedure which will gradually subside. You can expect to go home within a few hours of the procedure and be back to normal activities 2 to 3 days later. You can only expect limited enhancements from thread lift and the results can vary greatly from patient to patient.
