What is the Venus viva?

Venus Viva combines Smart Scan technology and NanoFractional Radio Frequency (RF) in a single system that works to improve the overall texture of your skin and repair skin damage that’s caused by a variety of factors. The treatment area and number of sessions depend on an individual assessment.

What is the Venus viva diamond polar?

The Venus viva diamond polar is a special hand piece that uses radio frequency and magnetic pulses to stimulate the generation of new collagen and elastin fibres over a period of time. Usually 6 sessions for the face and neck and 8-10 for the body is recommended. Discomfort and the duration of skin warmth or redness vary between individuals. The treating clinician will advise whether anaesthetic cream is appropriate. The Venus Viva Diamond Polar is a skin tightening device which can be used on its own or as a boost to the Venus Viva.

What to expect with Venus viva skin resurfacing?

A single facial resurfacing treatment with Venus Viva typically lasts no more than 30-45 minutes. The technician will clean the skin surface being treated and apply a topical anaesthetic to dull any pain. After about 15 minutes the procedure will begin.
The technician will move the Venus Viva applicator across the treatment area to deliver individual shots of heated energy into the skin. The settings may be adjusted during the treatment to deliver varying levels of heat as tiny needles puncture the skin. You’ll feel a slight warmth and pinprick sensations, and discomfort varies between individuals.
After the treatment, redness and swelling may occur. Their severity and duration vary between individuals. A cool air chiller can be used directly after the treatment to minimize these side effects. You’ll have to refrain from using any skin products in the first 12 hours. After that use a gentle moisturizer to help the healing process.

Not all patients are suitable candidates. Common reasons include:

• Pregnancy and nursing
• Any active condition in the treatment areas such as sores, psoriasis, eczema, rash
• Diabetes
• Current or history of any kind of cancerous moles
• Chemical peeling or dermabrasion within the last 3 months
• Cardiac disorders
• Pacemaker or other active implants in the body

How Long Do the Effects of Venus Viva Last?

The degree and timing of improvement vary between individuals. The treating clinician will advise on the number and spacing of sessions. Results cannot be guaranteed.
